Students are allowed to bring a stuffed animal to read with, but they should not bring in blankets or sleeping bags. Students can bring slippers to wear in class, but must also bring sturdy outside shoes for recess and walking to the public library.

We need one Chaperone to walk with us- please email Ginny if you are interested
We will explore some of the components of a forest habitat to get ready for next week's trip to the Tillamook Forest. We will create an ecosystem web using forest organisms, and try surviving in different niches - predator, prey, consumer and producer - through an active game.
Wednesday, March 15th All Day O&A to Tillamook Forest 9:30-2:00pm
At the Tillamook Forest Center, we will learn from educators about the lifecycle of salmon. A forest hike will allow us to investigate further the different roles of organisms in a forest ecosystem, and learn more in-depth about specific native animals.

HABITAT & ADAPTATION
This week, Level 2 students went “Out & About” to kick off our animal biology project unit.
At the FGCS garden, students thought about these big questions:
- What is a habitat?
- How do organisms' bodies adapt to changes in their habitat?
Reading Workshop: Literature Circles
These small group "Book Clubs" engage students in rich conversations about shared readings. Students can express their opinions, predictions, and questions about a text in a productive, structured way. Students take on specific group roles which are designed to develop reading, speaking, and thinking abilities. Ask your kiddo to tell you about the book they are reading!
